High Voltage Isolation Amplifiers

High voltage isolation amplifiers serve the crucial functions of detecting minute voltage signals atop high AC or DC voltages, typically exceeding 1000V in magnitude, amplifying the signals, and bringing them down to a low common voltage level.
The primary application of isolation amplifiers is in measuring small voltage drops across current-sensing resistors situated on high-voltage rails, such as those found in AC power grids or electric vehicle power train battery banks. The resultant output is a precisely amplified voltage signal, systematically referenced to the ground of a low-voltage circuit, thereby offering an accurate representation of the current traversing through the current sensing resistor.
Analog Technologies, Inc. has engineered a comprehensive series of isolation amplifiers, with the AD202ATI emerging as an enhanced version that maintains pin-to-pin compatibility with its counterpart, the AD202. Striking improvements include an impressive accuracy of ±0.005%, a substantial enhancement compared to the AD202's ±0.025%. Furthermore, the AD202ATI boasts a bandwidth of 20kHz, a remarkable 20-fold improvement from the AD202's 5kHz. Notably, these enhancements come with a more cost-effective pricing structure.
The AD202ATI amplifier is available in two package types: SIP and DIP, and is entirely encapsulated with epoxy for added durability and protection.
